    AR, I also review business opportunities for others and one of the criteria an opportunity MUST meet is to be able to contact someone BEFORE any monetary investment is commitment.

    Any opportunity where you can not at least contact someone live by phone — flush it.

    Also, I have not seen a “gifting” program yet which is legal. As a former Federal Investigator I know from first hand knowledge that if a viable product or service is not offered (and I’m not talking about a sham product or service) this also is another indication to flush it.

    The IRS takes a vary dim view on these “gifting programs”.
